“DANCE OF LIGHT” by Paul Bergquist

This was a plein air painting created on site in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, for the annual pleinair festival and competition. I was drawn to the play of light on this old Victorian house. The white siding of the house became a canvas for a dance of value and temperature variation as the sunlight passed through the leaves of the overhanging trees. The painting was chosen by my fellow painters for first place in the artist's choice category
