"AND THE THUNDER ROLLS" by Daren Wilding

"I can only imagine. A few years ago while hiking in the mountains depicted in this painting, my son discovered an old buffalo sheath (black outer layer of the buffalo horn). It was weathered and very old. I couldn't tell him much about the sheath or how it got there. What it told us was that many years ago buffalo did roam those hills. There hasn't been buffalo there in more than 100 years, but at some point there was. He has continued to hold on to the sheath and every time I see it, it reminds me of this hike and the many special times with my family. "And the Thunder Rolls" could be a scene from those days over a 100 years ago!" - Daren Wilding
