“AN EARLY POINT” by Kasey Nixon

I grew up with a father who loves English Setters and owned several throughout my childhood, including a big beautiful Old Hemlock male, whom this painting is meant to capture. I wanted to show him on point in the early morning light, and accentuate his distinctive head and strong torso. I can’t think of a more beautiful hunting dog, except of course my current Irish Setter, Jasper.
