I love artwork that can hold a fresh and timeless feeling in the expression of the subject matter, the color palate utilized and the well thought out use of texture.

For as long as I can remember, animals have captivated my imagination—and portraying them on paper or canvas has always been a close second. Wildlife, both extinct and living, holds a special place in my heart. I’ve always felt a deep connection with animals and believe that each of us has a role in reflecting the beauty of God’s creation.
My body of work includes a range of subjects—from dinosaurs and wildlife to Christian themes, human portraits, and landscapes. As an artist, I’m drawn to the challenge of capturing mood and emotion; I call this a painting’s character.
I keep myself open to experimental techniques that harmonize with my personal style. If I were to define my approach, it would center on movement, flow, suspense, romantic lighting, unique color, and thoughtful texture. To me, an artist’s style should remain fluid—something to explore freely, guided by intuition and curiosity.
Two techniques I particularly enjoy are creating monochromatic underpaintings on toned panels or canvases and working in a thick impasto alla prima style. Sometimes, a monochromatic piece develops such strong character that I leave it as a finished work, knowing that adding color might disrupt its emotional balance. More often, however, I plan a complementary color palette to enrich the underpainting, applying thicker paint over thinner layers to achieve a soft, lush texture that helps tell the story of my subject.
I’ve been blessed to participate in several esteemed exhibitions and auctions, including The Russell Auction, Legends West Art Show & Sale, The Salmagundi Club Show, and The Mountain Oyster Club Show & Sale. Each event inspires me anew—both through sharing my own work and through connecting with fellow artists and collectors whose insights continue to shape my creative path.
I chose to write this biography in the spirit of an informal conversation rather than a traditional formal statement. My goal is to express the raw and genuine truth behind my work—just as I hope my paintings do. Thank you for taking the time to connect, and may you have a blessed day.
